Every time you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and similar data. This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6(1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
Registration is required to use the core functions of our application. As part of the registration process, we collect the following data: email address and a password (stored as a hash). This data is used to create and manage your user account as well as to communicate with you regarding your account (e.g., password reset, verification email). This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of the usage agreement.
When you create a song, we process the data you enter (text input, "prompts", as well as your selection of genre, mood, style, and charisma). This data is transmitted to an external AI interface (our service provider for music generation, based on AWS Lambda) in order to generate the song. The transmitted prompts are not permanently stored by the AI service provider in a way that is linked to your identity. This processing serves the performance of the contract for the creation of a song (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The songs you create are stored in your personal library, which is linked to your user account.
For the purchase of "Credits" we use the external payment service provider Stripe. When you make a purchase, your payment data (e.g., credit card number, name) is processed directly by Stripe. We only receive a payment confirmation and a transaction ID from Stripe, but no complete payment data. This processing is required for the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Information on data protection at Stripe can be found in their privacy policy.
Our application uses technically necessary cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device. In particular, we use a session cookie to identify you after login. This cookie is essential for the functionality of the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or Section 25(2) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act)).
We store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes stated here, or as required by the various statutory retention periods. Data associated with your user account is stored until your account is deleted. Songs you have created remain stored in your library until you delete them or your entire account.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements, or to reflect changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g., when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply the next time you visit.
